Meet your match: Lake County Animal Shelter waiving adoption fees for February

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — If you’re looking for love this month, the Lake County Animal Shelter is offering a deal on adoptions to help you find a new four-legged family member.

The shelter, located at 12280 County Road 448 in Tavares, is waiving adoption fees for February during its “Meet Your Match” promotion.

“We encourage everyone to come out, meet our pets in need of loving homes,” said Whitney Boylston, director of the Lake County Animal Shelter.

Shelter officials said adoptions include effective sterilization, initial vaccinations, microchipping, a personalized ID tag and a lifetime of love.

You can click here to see the available pets and make an appointment to visit the shelter.

The shelter is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. The shelter is closed Wednesdays and holidays.
