Luma on Park Avenue to close due to financial struggles from pandemic

Luma on Park along Park Avenue is closing soon after 15 years of memory-making that includes Paul McCartney’s visits to date nights and rehearsal dinners.

Operating partner Tim Knolke said fewer tables meant sometimes turning customers, and their money, away. And the money coming in just wasn’t enough.

According to Park Avenue District officials, of the 140 small businesses along Park Avenue, Luma will be one of at least eight that have closed due to pandemic-related challenges.
