LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — A little Halloween magic helped make way for Christmas at Magic Kingdom, thanks to a 6-year-old Make-A-Wish child named Wednesday.
Wednesday, a lifelong fan of Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” wished to help transform Walt Disney World from Halloween to Christmas. She joined Jack Skellington and Sally inside their Halloween Town-inspired meet-and-greet location to put the finishing holiday touches on the space.
A special Christmas keepsake
During the visit, Wednesday received a custom snowflake ornament inspired by “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” She hung one of the matching ornaments on Jack’s Christmas tree and took the other home with her family as a keepsake from the day.
Wednesday and her sisters also joined Jack and Sally for games of “Hide and Go Shriek,” searched Halloween Town for Zero and shared their favorite songs from the film.
A wish decades in the making
The experience was made possible through Disney’s longstanding collaboration with Make-A-Wish, which has helped create experiences for wish children and their families for more than 45 years.
