"[I was] sitting in there, watching TV. I heard the gunshots. [It] sounded like four or five gunshots went off real quick. I got up, came out and looked and didn't see anything. It was dark out, so I just went back in the house," said neighbor Luther Parks.

After hearing the gunfire, Parks said he went out to investigate, but it was dark, and there aren't any street lights.

Later a woman who was driving by spotted Porter on the ground.

Authorities have not determined a motive in the case and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
