According to an incident report, a witness told police she, the victim, and another man were hanging out in a car in the parking lot of Jet Set when another group of people passed through the area.

According to the report, one person in the group, described only as a black female stopped and watched the victim’s group as a man armed with a revolver walked up to the victim and shot him in the head without saying a word.

The male witness told police the suspect then walked to where the female witness was sitting in the car and pointed the gun at her. The male witness told police he stood between the suspect and the other witness, asking him not to shoot her.

At that point, police say both the male and female suspects ran away from the scene, headed north on Reva Street.

Officers canvassed the area but weren’t able to find the suspects.

The victim, identified only as an adult male, was taken to Halifax Hospital and pronounced dead just before 1 a.m.

The suspected shooter was described as a 6 foot 1 inch tall black man with a thin build, wearing a white T-shirt, denim jeans, and a clown mask.
