MARION COUNTY, Fla. - Deputies said a woman fired shots at law enforcement officers and hit a patrol car.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office said it was called to assist the Putnam Sheriff's Office regarding a stolen vehicle that was traveling into Marion County.

Deputies responded and attempted a felony stop on the vehicle. Deputies said Rachel Baggs, 43, fled from the vehicle, then fired shots at deputies that hit a patrol car.

Marion County deputies were assisted by Alachua County Sheriff's Office, Putnam County Sheriff's Office, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, Florida Highway Patrol and Florida Department of Corrections in an extensive search for Baggs.

Deputies said Baggs was located and taken into custody after a person called authorities to report Baggs was hiding under their porch, asking for help.

Baggs was transported to a local hospital for an injury that is not believed to have been suffered during the incident in Marion County, according to deputies.

    No deputies were injured.
