Firefighters battle early morning blaze in Central Florida neighborhood

OCALA, Fla. — Ocala Fire Rescue is investigating an early morning fire that engulfed an entire house in flames.

Firefighters were called to battle the blaze at approximately 4:40 a.m. on NW 9th Avenue, between West Silver Springs Place and NW 1st Street in Ocala.

When fire rescue arrived, the one-story house was completely engulfed in flames.

While multiple fire units fought the fire, rescue crews searched for anyone inside. No victims were found.


The fire was under control by 4:57 a.m., according to Ocala Fire Rescue.

Ocala police and Marion County Fire Rescue assisted with the fire.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
