Paddleboarder films close encounter with alligator at Silver Springs State Park

MARION COUNTY, Fla. — A video shows a close encounter between a paddleboarder and an alligator in Marion County.

“What are you doing, get away from me,” a woman is heard saying in the video.

The woman filmed the gator encounter at Silver Springs State Park.

The video shows the gator slowly approach her while she was sitting on her board.

She said she had to push it away with her paddle to get it to stop.

The woman said she thinks it approached her because someone had been feeding it.
