MARION COUNTY, Fla. — On Saturday, the Marion County Fire Rescue team rescued two individuals trapped inside an elevator at High Point at Stonecrest Senior Living.
Crews were dispatched to the senior living facility at 5:47 p.m. and located the elevator car on the second floor. Responding units worked to safely access the occupants and assist them out of the cabin.
Firefighters then initiated the rescue operation while additional units from Belleview Station #18 arrived to provide support.
The rescue was completed by 6:30 p.m. All occupants were safely assisted out of the elevator.
Marion County Fire Rescue officials reported no injuries to civilians or firefighters during the incident.
