MELBOURNE, Fla. — Melbourne Square hosted an interactive science event with Mad Science of Central Florida on Sept. 19 at the JCPenney Court.
The free event ran from 12 to 2 pm, offering hands-on activities across two exploration stations for attending families.
The event was organized through Melbourne Square’s Kids Club, a free monthly program for children aged 12 and under. Melbourne Square is located at 1700 West New Haven Ave.
At the Optical Illusions station, children tested their perception and learned how the brain interprets visual information as they searched for hidden images.
The Detective Science station introduced investigative techniques focused on spy science. Participants explored fingerprinting, invisible messages, and dead drops.
The event also featured a giveaway, offering a free Spy Kids gift to the first 200 children in attendance while supplies lasted.
