Demarcus Womack said he’s known Brown for years. They were living together and actually went to the game together on Saturday. He said the tragedy is something the entire Jones High School community is feeling the impact of, especially since Brown was so involved in the mentorship program.

“(He) always brought sunshine to every crowded room,” Womack said. “That’s pretty much who he was.”
