Monday forecast: Partly cloudy, afternoon storms likely

ORLANDO, Fla. — Update:

A quick band of storms are approaching downtown Orlando, but they will not last long as they march east through the I-4 corridor at about 25 mph.

Monday will see mostly sunny skies throughout the morning with a 50% chance of storms in the afternoon.

Expect temperatures to reach the mid-90s.

Tuesday looks the same, with a slight chance of some rain in the morning and a 30% chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Looking ahead to the rest of the week, the chance of rain is low through midweek. It will be hot with temperatures in the mid-90s through Wednesday.

Heading into the weekend, the chance of afternoon storms will increase with the potential for rain at about 30%.
