MILTON, Fla. — A Northwest Florida man is behind bars after he threatened to harm a Volusia County judge on multiple 911 calls, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Alan McCarty, 35 of Milton, was arrested by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office early Saturday morning on a felony warrant accusing him of corruption by threat against a public servant.

McCarty allegedly began making threats against Circuit Judge Stasia Warren around 8 p.m. Friday to Volusia County 911 dispatchers. He is suspected of making four expletive-laden calls.
“Yeah, I want to report a crime that’s about happen,” the first cal began.

Alan McCarty, 35 (DOB 12/20/1981), of Milton, was arrested by Santa Rosa County sheriff’s deputies early this morning after detectives here in Volusia obtained a warrant for his arrest on a felony charge of corruption by threat against a public servant. Deputies and Daytona Beach police officers maintained contact with the judge, Circuit Judge Stasia Warren, to check on her, advise her of the threats, update her on the case status and conduct extra patrols at her home. Sheriff’s Office dispatchers began receiving calls from McCarty around 8 p.m. Friday. His calls were extremely aggressive, vulgar and threatening from the start. His first call began: “Yeah, I want to report a crime that’s about to happen.” Over the course of four calls, his statements included: "I got a f****** gun pointed at your f****** building." "I'm letting you know I'm going to shoot this *****. You gonna f****** give me my kids." "A new law was just wrote. Your judge is gonna f****** die for sabotaging people's cases, you stupid b****." The calls appeared to be coming from a location in Northwest Florida. A lieutenant contacted Judge Warren’s courtroom deputy, who listened to the call audio and was able to identify the voice as McCarty’s. She recalled an incident in July, when McCarty left a hostile message with Judge Warren’s judicial assistant. Analysts in the Volusia County Crime Center also were able to determine the audio matched previous recordings of McCarty's voice. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant shortly thereafter and contacted the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office with a request to apprehend McCarty. Jail records show he was booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail around 3:57 a.m., where he remained held later Saturday morning pending transport to Volusia County in the near future.

Over the course of the calls, McCarty allegedly can be heard making the following statements:
"I got a (expletive) gun pointed at your (expletive) building."
"I'm letting you know I'm going to shoot this (expletive). You gonna (expletive) give me my kids."
"A new law was just wrote. Your judge is gonna (expletive) die for sabotaging people's cases, you stupid (expletive).”

A lieutenant contacted Warren's courtroom deputy, who listened to the call audio and identified the voice as McCarty's.
The courtroom deputy recalled an incident in July, when McCarty allegedly left a hostile message with Warren's judicial assistant.
Analysts in the Volusia County Crime Center also determined the audio matched previous recordings of McCarty's voice.
McCarty was booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail around 3:57 a.m. where he awaits transport to Volusia County.
