Ocala Police delivers 50 Thanksgiving dinners to needy families

MARION COUNTY, Fla. — The Ocala Police Department donated 50 Thanksgiving dinners to families in need.

OPD staff donated money that they received originally for their own meals, and bought meals for those in need.

A full Thanksgiving meal consisted of a turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, green beans, rice, rolls, cranberry sauce, and either sweet potato or pumpkin pie.

The meals were then hand-delivered to multiple homes in Ocala.
