SANFORD, Fla. — Local organizations are gathered in Sanford on Wednesday to rally against legislation that they say has significant implications for the immigrant communities in Florida.

The “We Are Florida” coalition held a rally and press conference Fort Mellon Park in Sanford to condemn the HB 1617 / SB 1718 legislation that they call “unconstitutional and unjust.”

The group said the legislation attacks immigrant communities in the state.
