Orlando airport wants new onsite hotel

The Orlando International Airport wants another onsite hotel -- and is looking for some help to make that happen.

The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, which oversees and operates Orlando International Airport and Orlando Executive Airport, on Jan. 18 approved a request for proposals for hotel development consulting services, according to airport documents.

Why this matters: New investments can result in construction opportunities and jobs. In addition, more airport amenities can improve the overall travel experience for visitors, including business travelers.
