Orlando Fire investigates blaze at downtown house under renovation

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Fire Department is investigating what started a fire near the downtown area early Saturday.

The fire started around 7 a.m. on Easy Avenue.

Crews said the flames came from a house under renovation.

No one was found inside the home, and no injuries were reported, according to Orlando Fire.

The department said the fire was extinguished quickly despite the below-freezing temperatures and the extended distance from a hydrant.

Detectives said they are looking into the cause of the fire.
