ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Magic will host the fifth annual Hispanic Impact Summit on Oct. 13 at the Kia Center as part of the team’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations.
The event, presented by Kia in partnership with the Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando, will feature panel discussions and networking opportunities focused on business growth, leadership and entrepreneurship.
WFTV anchor Alexa Lorenzo will moderate two panels featuring representatives from Kia, City National Bank, Ana G. Mendez University, King Service Solutions, Teruya Law, and The Cake Girl.
The summit will be followed by a pregame reception before the Magic’s home game against the Cleveland Cavaliers later that evening.
During the game, the Magic will recognize local students with the Hispanic Youth Leadership Award, honoring young people selected for their leadership, academic achievement, community service and contributions to Central Florida. The organization will also recognize the board of the Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando.
The game-day celebration will include Latin-inspired music, performances and other cultural recognitions throughout the night.
The Orlando Magic said the annual event is part of the organization’s broader effort to engage and celebrate the diverse communities that make up Central Florida.
