Orlando residents voice concerns over big rigs, other trucks parked in neighborhood

ORLANDO, Fla. — Residents in an Orlando neighborhood said they’ve complained for months about big trucks parked all over the area including big rigs, box trucks and even pickup trucks.

Neighbors in Lake Mann Estates, one of the several areas where this is an issue, said it’s an eyesore.

“I’ve sent photos, I’ve sent emails and nothing’s ever done,” Lake Mann Estates resident Nick Smith said.

Smith said he’s filed more than 30 complaints documenting big trucks illegally parked across his neighborhood.

“Nobody wants to own a house across the street from that,” Smith said.

From the back of Smith’s car, Channel 9 saw trailers parked along the sides of roads, in front yards and in empty lots. The city and county said that’s all against their codes. Violations could mean a $37 ticket in the city, and a fine of up to $150 in the county.
