Orlando’s sinkhole network operated as city’s original plumbing

ORLANDO, Fla. — Downtown, before it was the bustling area we know today, used to spend as much as a quarter of each century that passed underwater.

That’s where the network of sinkholes come in. They operated as the city’s original underground plumbing.
