Osceola County leaders lay out plans for major transportation projects on I-4, Poinciana Parkway

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — State and local leaders in Osceola County came together Tuesday to focus on the county’s traffic concerns.

A county summit brought together the experts and laid out every road project in the works.

Transportation leaders said Osceola County is about to see a whole lot of construction.

Osceola County leaders said residents can expect lots of traffic improvements to get underway over the next five years.

A lot of projects discussed at the summit Tuesday are either already in construction or will be in construction by the end of the year.

The county gave out these maps that show every project planned right now.

That includes work on I-4, Poinciana Parkway and congested local county roads.

What was unique about this summit is that it brought together quite literally every major organization that touches transportation in Osceola County.
