OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — A judge ruled Thursday afternoon that a man accused of killing his wife, their three children and the family dog at their Celebration home be jailed without bail.
Anthony Todt, 44, told detectives that he killed his wife, Megan Todt, 42, their sons, Alek Todt, 13, and Tyler Todt, 11, their daughter, Zoe Todt, 4, and their dog, Breezy, Osceola County Sheriff Russ Gibson said.
Gibson said autopsies conducted determined the cause of death to be homicide.
Investigators believe Todt killed his family in late December and had been living in the home with their bodies.
Records said Todt is a licensed physical therapist and had a practice in Connecticut before his license expired and was not renewed.
Todt was defrauding Medicaid, Anthem, Cigna and others for therapy that he never performed so that he could pay off loans, records said.
