Brother of man accused of killing estranged wife takes plea deal on child pornography charges

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — An Osceola County man whose family is tied to the death of a young mother has taken a plea deal in a different case.

Nicholas Rivera is being charged with eight counts of possession of child pornography.

This week, he agreed to a plea deal in the case that will send him to prison for 10 years, followed by 15 years of sex offender probation.

Rivera’s brother, Christopher Otero-Rivera, and his father, Angel Rivera, are accused in the death of 30-year-old Nicole Montalvo, Christopher Otera-Rivera’s estranged wife.

They are both being charged with second-degree murder.

The family matriarch, Wanda Rivera, is also being charged with accessory after the fact to the murder.

Montalvo’s body was found on the family’s property last year.
