Owner of controversial Cocoa Beach building found dead

COCOA BEACH, Fla. — Francis Wolfe, 82, a co-owner of the well-known "glass bank" in Cocoa Beach, was found dead inside the dilapidated building.

Investigators said Wolfe was found hours after a state appeals court ruled against him in his effort to save the building from demolition.

The high-rise building suffered serious damage in the hurricanes of 2004 and had become an eyesore to many in Cocoa Beach.

The court ruling paves the way for the building to be torn down.

Wolfe lived in the building's penthouse.

There was no word on the cause of death.
