PALM BAY, Fla. — Palm Bay is asking residents to report storm damage, hazardous conditions and safety concerns through an online portal while shelter-in-place guidance remains in effect.
Residents can submit a damage or safety report here. The city said reports should include only conditions residents can observe from a safe location.
The request comes as severe flooding in Palm Bay has left one man dead and prompted police to urge residents to shelter in place if possible.
How reports will help
The city said the reporting tool consolidates information in one location, helping crews identify, locate and prioritize potential safety hazards throughout the community.
The form allows residents to provide a location, describe damage and upload photos.
Stay safe while reporting
Residents should not leave shelter or put themselves at risk to inspect or document damage.
“Please do not leave your shelter or put yourself at risk to inspect or report damage,” the city said. “Your safety comes first.”
