‘Please do not approach’: Bear spotted roaming Orlando neighborhoods

ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando police and wildlife officials are tracking a bear that’s been spotted roaming several Orlando neighborhoods.

Police said the bear was spotted in the area of Lake Ivanhoe Park and most recently in a tree near Yale Street and Formosa Avenue in College Park.

Orlando police said it has officers tracking the bear, and that Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials are on the scene to safely retrieve the bear.

“Although the bear is cute, please do not approach,” Orlando police said in a social media post.
