TITUSVILLE, Fla. — Law enforcement in Brevard County is looking into an officer-involved shooting that happened in Titusville last night on Robbins Avenue and Pine Street.

The incident happened around 9 p.m. in the area and Channel 9′s video shows a heavy police presence during the aftermath of an officer-involved shooting.

Titusville Police released the following statement:
An officer-involved shooting occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025, in the area of Robbins Ave in Titusville.
Officers had responded to the area shortly after 9 p.m. in reference to a suspicious incident investigation. Officers encountered an individual armed with a handgun and shots were fired.
An adult male suspect was transported to the hospital for a gunshot injury and was pronounced deceased a short time later.
The Titusville Officers involved in the shooting were not injured.
Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) responded to the scene and is conducting an investigation into the shooting.
Brevard County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene to process the forensics/evidence portion of the investigation.
Further information will be released at the conclusion of FDLE’s investigation.
