ORLANDO, Fla. — One person was injured after being run over by a bus in downtown Orlando, police said.

The accident happened along Orange Avenue near Princeton Street just before 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Northbound Orange Avenue was shut down while Police investigated the crash.
The person, who was not identified, was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Units are on-scene of a traffic crash involving a Lynx bus vs pedestrian at Orange Av and Princeton St. The pedestrian was struck by the bus when stepping off the sidewalk. Passengers on the bus at the time of the accident were transferred to another bus and continued on their route.
