Port Canaveral welcomes MSC Seaside for its first voyage

PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. — A new ship has started to make its home in Port Canaveral.


MSC Seaside, part of MSC Cruises, will begin sailing to the Bahamas, Cozumel, Costa Maya in Mexico and Belize.

Kevin Markey, chairman of Canaveral Port Authority, presented MSC Seaside Captain Michele Di Mauro with a plaque to honor the inaugural voyage in a traditional ceremony.

“The arrival of the MSC Seaside is another great milestone for Port Canaveral and the Space Coast region, further solidifying our positions as the top cruise port in the world,” Markey said.

MSC Cruises began its Port Canaveral services in 2021 with the MSC Divina.

The three, four and seven-night Caribbean itineraries will be through November.
