MELBOURNE, Fla. — Melbourne-area residents now have another option for their grocery shopping.

On Thursday, Publix opened a brand new store at Lake Washington Crossing Shopping Center.

The 48,387-square-foot store will offer grocery, dairy, frozen food, seafood, meat, and fresh produce departments.

It will also feature a full-service bakery, deli, and pharmacy.

“We are excited to welcome our customers to their new store ... and look forward to providing them with the premier service and quality Publix is known for,” Lindsey Willis, Publix media relations manager, said in a news release.

The store is located at 3200 Lake Washington Road in Melbourne.

Publix said regular store hours are:

  • Monday through Sunday: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Pharmacy hours are:

  • Monday through Friday: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Sunday: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
