Rep. Mica holds onto U.S. House District 7 seat against Kendall

ORLANDO, Fla. — Rep. John Mica held onto his seat against Jason Kendall, Soil & Water Conservation Supervisor for Seminole County, according to the Associated Press.

Representative Mica represents Florida's 7th congressional district. He was first elected in 1992, when he retired from being a developer and turned to public work.

"The results of the last sports contests don't make much difference but the political contests do," Mica said.

When asked if people are better off now than when he first took office, Mica replied, "No question. More people own homes because of Republican policies than ever before."
