APOPKA, Fla. — Twenty-five incoming Rollins College freshmen will volunteer Saturday to help beautify Quest Camp Thunderbird in Apopka.
The students will pick up debris, rake leaves and trim bushes across the camp’s 36 wooded acres surrounding Lake Prevatt.
Quest Camp Thunderbird provides summer camp experiences for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Its activities include archery, swimming and crafts.
The project is part of Rollins College’s annual SPARC Day, which brings together students, employees and alumni for community service. More than 13,500 volunteers have participated since the initiative began in 2006.
The cleanup will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Quest Camp Thunderbird, 909 E. Welch Road.
