Satellite Beach closes all beach crossovers due to dangerous conditions (City of Satellite Beach - Government/City of Satellite Beach - Government)

SATELLITE BEACH, Fla. — All beach crossovers in Satellite Beach are closed until further notice because of dangerous conditions caused by strong winds and king tides, according to the city.

Satellite Beach officials said significant sand erosion has created dangerous drop-offs near the stairs at beach crossovers.

The city is asking people to stay off the beaches and not walk on or through the dunes because conditions may be hazardous.

City officials said staff will continue monitoring and assessing conditions and will reopen the crossovers when it is safe.
