CENTRAL FLA. — We closed out the workweek with a few more showers across the area, and rain chances will rise over the weekend.
The scattered activity will exit this evening, but coastal activity will again be possible towards daybreak. Morning lows will be in the low 70s.
An upper-level low will drift across the state Saturday. This will increase the moisture in the region and bring higher coverage of rain and storms. Highs will be in the upper 80s.
The low will remain in the Gulf on Sunday, further increasing moisture. Scattered PM rain and storms will be likely, with temps in the low 90s.
Much deeper tropical moisture moves in to start next week, resulting in elevated chances of rain and storms. Highs on Monday and Tuesday will be in the low 90s.
It now looks like another round of drier air will nudge in late next week, decreasing rain coverage across the region.
