ORLANDO, Fla. — SeaWorld Orlando announced yesterday its Howl-O-Scream 2026 lineup, featuring its first-ever movie-inspired haunted house based on the 1997 film “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”
The separately ticketed nighttime event, intended for mature audiences, will run on select nights from Sept. 11, 2026, through Oct. 31, 2026, at the Orlando theme park owned by United Parks & Resorts Inc.
The 2026 event includes five total haunted houses, six scare zones, five themed bars and two live entertainment shows, along with nighttime access to four park rides. General public tickets start at $45.99 per person when purchasing two or more tickets.
The debut of “I Know What You Did Last Summer: The Final Catch” marks the first time SeaWorld Orlando has included a movie-inspired haunted house in its Halloween lineup. Based on the 1997 horror film by Sony Pictures, the attraction recreates the movie’s Southport Massacre as guests attempt to evade the Fisherman character.
In addition to the movie-themed house, the park is introducing four original haunted house concepts. “Dark Net” features a cyberpunk theme centered on cyborg vampirism, while “Everything Must Stay” is set inside a suburban home filled with supernatural forces. “Raveyard” depicts an eternal dance party for the undead and “Crawlspace” takes visitors into a sealed sewer system containing an escaped monster.
The event features six scare zones positioned throughout the park grounds. New themed zones include “Nekrosis,” depicting a 1990s seaside town frozen in time and “Just One More Chapter,” inspired by dark romance literature. Other zones include the apocalyptic “Dooms District,” an insect-themed area called “Extermination Order,” and returning locations “Woodrot Hollow” and “Trailer Park Tragedy.”
Five new themed bars will operate during the event to provide themed beverages and nightlife settings. Guests can visit “The Rewind,” which features 1990s nostalgia; “Byte Bar,” a cyberpunk establishment tied to the “Dark Net” theme; “Resurrection Club”; “The Black Sheep,” designed as a hideout for doomsday preppers; and “Larva Lounge.”
Live entertainment for the 2026 event includes the return of two stage productions, “Throttle” and “Monster Stomp.” “Throttle” features stunt performances and introduces a new story character this year, while “Monster Stomp” combines percussion, rock music and monster characters. Four roller coasters will also operate during the event hours.
SeaWorld Orlando will offer specialty food items during the event, including a Tripleta Sandwich, chicken and waffles named the Eggo Massacre, a bacon macaroni and cheese hot dog, beef birria ramen and specialty cocktails. Annual Pass members can access discounted tickets starting at $40.99 each when purchasing two or more. Upgrades including Front Line Fear passes and VIP Terror Tours are also available.
Howl-O-Scream 2026 will run on select nights from Sept. 11, 2026, through Oct. 31, 2026. Event tickets, pass member discounts and upgraded tour packages are available for purchase through the SeaWorld Orlando website.
