An Orlando nonprofit that focuses on children with disabilities just bought vacant land in east Orlando to develop into something it’s calling “Hopetown.”

Nathaniel’s Hope Inc. on Feb. 9 paid $6 million for 171.09 acres at 4601 Young Pine Road from Wellesley, Massachusetts-based Uddo Kids Inc., according to Orange County records posted on Feb. 15.
The property includes more than 134.82 acres of developable land, with the rest consisting of wetlands. The property last traded hands in 1989 for $1.18 million, county records showed.

Tom McFadden and Derek Riggleman of Lee & Associates represented the property seller, while Jeremy Edwards with BluRock Commercial Real Estate represented Nathaniel’s Hope.
