Seminole County students, teachers tackle new technology on first day of virtual learning

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Channel 9 Seminole County reporter Jeff Levkulich was one of the thousands of parents watching their children go back to school without ever leaving home on Monday.

Levkulich got a firsthand look as his two children and his wife, who is a teacher in the county, utilized virtual learning tools to bring the classroom to them.

He said there were some technical hiccups as the first day of virtual school got underway.

In a message, the district said it increased resources with Microsoft over the weekend to handle 100,000 users.

With login issues taken care of within an hour, the first day of virtual school, he said, went fairly smoothly.

The district said glitches can be expected throughout this process because it’s so new.
