ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — A 38-year-old Altamonte Springs man has been federally indicted in connection with the robbery of a Chase Bank, according to the Altamonte Springs Police Department.
Kelean Lerod Cobb is charged with bank robbery, using a firearm during the crime, and possessing a firearm while being prohibited.
The charges stem from a Feb. 27 robbery at the Chase Bank at 971 N. State Road 434, police said.
According to investigators, Cobb jumped over the teller counter and pointed a pistol at one teller. He then pointed the firearm at a second teller and ordered her to open her drawer before taking cash and fleeing the bank.
Cobb is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing firearms, police said.
If convicted on all counts, Cobb faces a minimum of seven years and up to life in federal prison.
