Seminole County housekeeper accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from customer

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A housekeeper in Seminole County is accused of cleaning a couple out of $10,000 worth of jewelry.

Investigators said pictures of the jewelry helped lead to the suspect’s arrest.

Michele Oxley stole $10,000 worth of jewelry from the Seibel’s home, including a ring set, a gold chain and a set of earrings, according to investigators.

The cleaning company not only cooperated with the investigation, but helped in Oxley’s arrest.

“Was I angry at the cleaning company? No, because it could have been anybody,” said Denyse Seibel.

The Seibels had photographs of some of the items stolen, as well as receipts, and turned those over to detectives.

“(That) helped us tremendously when we were able to finally determine where she had pawned these items for pennies on the dollar,” said Bob Kealing, PIO for the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.
