OVIEDO, Fla. — Deputies are searching for a suspect who grabbed a woman’s purse and fled an Oviedo Walmart in a vehicle today. The incident occurred at approximately 8:20 a.m. at the store on Deep Lake Road.
The crime is classified as a robbery by sudden snatching. Investigators state that the victim was walking into Walmart when an unknown suspect grabbed her purse and then fled the area by entering a nearby vehicle.
Deputies say that no weapons were involved in the encounter and that the victim did not report any injuries after the snatching.
The suspect has not been identified and remains outstanding.
