Seminole deputies arrest 5 in undercover prostitution sting

CASSELBERRY, Fla. — The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office arrested five women Thursday evening and Friday morning in an undercover prostitution sting at a Casselberry motel.

Undercover agents met up with five women at the Suburban Extended Stay Hotel on North Oxford Road, where the women allegedly offered to perform sexual acts in exchange for money, according to arrest records.

The suspects include Amie Carter, 31, Deandra Meyer, 26, Katherine Dunn, 18, Claudia Perez, 25, and Yanitza Rivera-Torres, 21.

The documents said one of the agents tracked down two of the women through a website advertisement. The report said those women agreed to allow him to watch them have sex in exchange for $400.

Savannah Avery, who has lived in a room at the motel for the past two weeks, said she knows one of the suspects but wouldn’t specify which woman.

"I know a lot of people in and out do different things to make ends meet, whether it's they sell their self [or] whatever," she said.

All of the propositions were recorded on video, according to the sheriff’s office.

"It's extremely sad,” Avery said. “It's more sad than anything that people have to lower their standards as a woman to try and get by."
