I-4 in Seminole County is back open after a serious crash caused delays Wednesday afternoon

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A serious crash on Interstate 4 caused major traffic delays for commuters Wednesday afternoon.

The westbound lanes of I-4 near state Route 46 were blocked after two cars were involved in a crash in Seminole County.

Troopers said traffic from I-4 westbound had to be diverted onto SR-46 while crews investigated the crash.

Troopers said that while the cause of the crash remains under investigation, there was a crash earlier in the afternoon in the same area.

In an email release, FHP mentioned a child was being treated on scene but have not provided an update on the child’s condition.
