The warning comes as strong thunderstorms develop across the region amid hot and humid conditions

ORLANDO, Fla. — The National Weather Service has issued weather warnings as strong storms move through Central Florida.

Active Alerts

A Severe T’Storm Warning has been issued for northwestern Marion County until 5:00 PM.

Movement is to the northeast at 10 mph.

Greatest threats are winds over 50 mph, intense lightning and hail.

Expired Alerts

A Severe T’Storm Warning has been issued for eastern Marion County until 3:45 PM.

This includes Salt Springs.

Movement is to the north at 10 mph.

Greatest threats are winds over 50 mph, intense lightning and hail.

Additional strong to severe storms remain possible across Central Florida through the early evening hours.

A Severe T’Storm Warning has been issued for far southern Sumter and northern Polk counties until 3:30 PM.

This includes Withla.

Movement is to the northeast at 5 mph.

Greatest threats are winds over 50 mph, intense lightning and hail.

Additional strong to severe storms are possible across Central Florida through the early evening hours.
