ST. CLOUD, Fla. — St. Cloud High School was placed on lockdown Thursday after a possible threat of violence.
The school has had three fights and three confrontations on campus, and one fight off campus, according to St. Cloud police.

The fights happened between Monday and Wednesday.
Rumors circled that students took to social media to post about #fightweek.
Due to the unusually high number of reported fights, police have increased their presence at all schools in the area, but have mainly focused on St. Cloud High School.
The district said parents were notified of the lockdown by phone, but some parents said they never received a call.
"I got no message coming up here to get (my son) because then I have to get my daughter at a different school
I'm like, 'OK why are the gates locked?'" mother Gina Stout said.
Police said this has been a problem at other Florida schools, but not in St. Cloud.
There have been no credible threats, but officers said they “aren’t taking any chances.”
Dismissal was delayed by more than an hour at the school Thursday.
There is no school in Osceola County on Friday since students did not have President's Day off.
