DELAND, Fla. — A new poll from Stetson University shows 56% of respondents plan to vote “yes” on Amendment 3, while 21% say they will vote “no.”
The poll, released by the university based on responses collected last week, also found that 23% of respondents remain undecided.
Under Florida law, constitutional amendments must receive at least 60% of the vote to pass.
Based on the poll results, support for Amendment 3 is currently four percentage points below that threshold.
Political scientists describe Stetson University polls as nonpartisan, providing a look at public opinion without favoring a political party.
With nearly one-quarter of respondents still undecided, the poll reflects a portion of voters who have yet to make up their minds on the proposed amendment.
The results offer a snapshot of voter sentiment at the time of the survey. The final outcome will depend on the votes cast in the election.
