SunRail extends train schedule for spring break

ORLANDO, Fla. — If you’re off enjoying spring break in Central Florida this weekend, you have an extra way to get around.

SunRail is celebrating spring break by offering an extended train schedule from now through Friday.

The rail system is offering an additional southbound train leaving DeBary at 10 p.m. making all stops until it reaches Poinciana at 11:28 p.m.

“We are always looking for new ways to meet the needs of our community,” said SunRail Chief Operations Officer Charles “Mike” Heffinger in a statement. “Spring Break is a great time to promote evening events, especially around Church Street Station, that run later than our regular southbound schedule.”

There are several events on the calendar this week, including at the Amway Center, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, Orlando Shakes and The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival, plus two Orlando Magic home games.

As part of the SunRail and Orlando Magic partnership, all Magic ticket holders can ride SunRail for free to and from games by showing their ticket to SunRail Conductors.
