MARION COUNTY, Fla. — Two of five Marion County teens accused of murdering another teenager are expected to be in court on Monday.
Siblings Amber Wright,16, and Kyle Hooper,17, are both facing a first-degree murder charge in the death of Seath Jackson. Investigators said they were part of the group of five people who lured 15-year-old Jackson to a home in Summerfield where he was beaten and shot in April 2011.
Investigators said his body was then burned and his remains were packed into paint cans and thrown into a pit.
So far, Justin Soto and Charlie Ely have been sentenced to life in prison. Ely plans to appeal her decision with Casey Anthony’s former attorney Jose Baez representing her.
Legal experts expect Wright and Hooper to receive the same strict punishment.
The co-defendants claimed they were not the masterminds behind the murder plot.
The alleged ringleader, Michael Bargo, is still waiting on his trial to begin.
