2 women shot while sleeping in Holly Hill apartment

HOLLY HILL, Fla. — Holly Hill police released three surveillance clips from the apartment where two women were shot while they were sleeping early Monday, according to Holly Hill police.

At about 1:15 a.m., officers said they responded to the Holly Point Apartments at 1000 15th Street after a report that two people were shot.

Investigators said a 19-year-old woman and a 62-year-old woman were shot while they were sleeping in their separate bedrooms.

Both women were shot in their legs, police said. They are being treated at a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers said that “the shooter(s) stood outside while firing a high caliber weapon through the apartment walls and windows.”

They said bullets also hit two other apartments that were occupied, but no one else was struck.

Investigators said they are searching for the shooter or shooters.
