DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Buc-ee’s now has two locations in Florida after a new location opened Monday morning in Daytona Beach.
It’s a popular travel center and gas station chain that started in Texas.
The newest travel center is located at 2330 Gateway North Drive on the corner of Interstate 95 and LPGA Boulevard.
Buc-ee’s Daytona Beach will occupy 53,000 square feet and offer 104 gas pumps and thousands of snack, meal and drink options.
Food items featured will include Texas barbecue, homemade fudge, kolaches, Beaver nuggets, jerky and fresh pastries.
Buc-ee’s claims its locations are the “home of the world’s cleanest bathrooms, freshest food and friendliest beaver.”
People were lined up outside the travel center and they say shopping at Buc-ee’s is a lifestyle.
“The Buc-ee’s lifestyle is all about the brisket. It’s all about those sandwiches. It’s all about the kolaches,” said April Grotzinger. “They have this frozen case where they have whole chickens stuffed with jambalaya.”
Some people Channel 9 spoke with said they got in line around 11 p.m. Sunday.
Company representatives said “Buc-ee’s Daytona Beach will bring the same award-winning restrooms, cheap gas, quality products and excellent service that have won the hearts, trust and business of millions in the South for nearly 40 years to one of the most beloved coastal cities in the country.”
