PORT ORANGE, Fla. — Port Orange terminated its fire chief on Thursday, Mayor Don Burnette confirmed to Channel 9.
The city placed Chief Ken Fustin on paid leave last week.
The mayor said that stemmed from Fustin getting into an argument with Volusia County Public Protection Director Joe Pozzo.
The specifics of the argument are not known yet.
Deputy Chief Joe Wulfing will fill in as the interim chief.
Fustin had been with the city since 2016.
